In this land where the gods sleep, there are signs of a land illuminated by countless lamps.
The ritual of heaven's will resounds.

A new form of physical expression through Japanese drums and dance
"UZETSU" is a performance piece featuring Japanese drums and dance created by choreographer and director Yuko Shimoji and Japanese drummer Kyoichi Iwakiri.
Based on Iwakiri's completely original music, Shimoji will create a dance using his own unique physical expression that fuses elements of Martha Graham Technique, classical ballet, and Noh, creating a stage where stillness and movement, tradition and innovation intersect.
At the heart of the story lies Japanese Shinto culture, and the "prayer" and spirituality associated with this primitive faith are elevated in a contemporary dance performance art piece.
With overseas performances scheduled to begin in 2026, the group aims to incorporate traditional Japanese craftsmanship into the costumes and stage design, and to develop the show globally as a completely new form of performance art originating from Japan.
